Grammy's Visit

Grammy visited for a week in March and got to spend lots of time in the warm weather, for a change! Christopher and Shayla loved spending time with her, and we were all sad to see her go. Come back soon, Grammy! :)

Happy Birthday, Shayla!

Just look at how big our little girl is now! She celebrated her #8 painting pottery with friends, and at the end of the day, she said, "My birthdays go so fast. I waited all year for this day and now it's over already. Why do Christopher's birthdays last so much longer?"

Big Bear

We had some free ski tickets, so we made a day trip to Big Bear mid-March and had a blast. It was gorgeous weather, and we loved every minute of it (oh, except when Christopher fell getting off the chair lift, and when Dave had to ski down a black diamond slope to retrieve Christopher's glove that he dropped on another chairlift ride).

Brownie Fun

Shayla's brownie troop sold out of cookies this year. They were hard to resist!

Prince Charming

Christopher was Prince Charming in his class play. Doesn't he look cute?

Park City

We visited Park City with friends over President's weekend. We sure got our fill of snow (it snowed 3 of the 5 days we were there) and the kids discovered that they LOVE to ski. In fact, they want to move there now. I think they would get tired of the snow, but they think not, of course.

Huntington Beach Half Marathon

Here is our local neighborhood "running club" (pre-race, of course) having some fun on the beach before the big race on Feb. 7. This is THE best course ever...all along the ocean, flat, and gorgeous. I was liking this race very much. And Dave waited for me! Extra bonus.

Pinewood Derby Time

It was Pinewood Derby time again last month, and Christopher took home another winner's trophy -- third place for speed overall. Go, Chris!
